A suspect in recent armed convenience store robberies in Suburb ABC is in custody tonight - find out why some residents are glad!
This was an actual teaser several months back, I think on our local NBC.
There aren’t enough  in the world.

I watched the news for exactly five minutes today at the doctor’s office.
My eyes rolled across the floor.
The first 4 minutes were consumed by a field report. You see, it’s raining. On the beach. In December. No, it wasn’t a down pour. In fact, it was so light that I had to take their word for it.
By the way, the old people who frequent the beach on weekday mornings in the middle of winter (Even So Cal has a variation of Winter) all thought the rain was a good thing. Some had dogs. Others were just hiking in groups.
In case you missed it, there was a light sprinkle on a beach in Ventura county.
It might rain in Los Angeles later this afternoon. Or it might not. But the old man “likes rain” according to the subtitle beneath his name.
The next story was about the Peterson trial. There’s nothing happening right now. It’s just the penalty phase. Nothing new to report. So we had another field reporter do a 3-4 minute “special” on how prisons operate. See, prisoners live in cells. Then, once a day, they’re allowed to leave the cell to “lift weights and play chess” (direct quote) but the funny thing about prison is that the walls are really high (cut to a shot of the high walls), so they can only see a patch of sky (cut to a shot of the sky, I shit you not). Thankfully that was the end of the report, and the doctor called me into his office so he could press on myinfected toe and tell me it’s infected.
All in all, it was a painful 5-10 minutes (I’m not sure how long it lasted really. It felt like an eternity).
Fuck you ABC 7 news.
To be fair, a friend of mine was in for about six months, and chess and weightlifting were about all he did when he was outside his cell…

Maus, come home! Pam Saulsbee and David Crabtree miss you!
Hell, I miss Greg Fishel.
Best. Weatherman. Ever.
I’d love to come home; do you know anyone who’s hiring for EDI/WebMethods?
