I pit the management of Bangor, Maine International Airport

Oh and by the way- thanks for doing what you’re doing, IntelSoldier.

Funny, your profile sounds like my little brother- he was Rangers and SF, counter-intel in Afghanistan and two contracts in Iraq. Even down to the poli sci degree (I can’t remember what his masters was in- something like strategic studies or something).

He’s out now, but would miss it if Big Army hadn’t tried to screw him so badly… Not that he didn’t know who he was working for when he signed up, but still… You would think that if they spent a million bucks and a decade and all sorts of specialized training on you, they would use you in your MOS (but you’d be wrong).

I wrote the Bangor International Airport two days ago to comment on this story. I just got a press release from the Airport

Yay, I was almost ashamed to be a Mainer for a minute, there. Imagine, depriving people of whoopie pies!

Where people eat chicken bones as candy.

It’s just not Christmas without Chicken Bones.

Interesting–I passed through Bangor once or twice travelling between L.A. and Europe in the 1970s, but didn’t think it was still being used much. Those trips were in fully loaded, all-coach 707s or stretch DC8s, and I don’t think they could have flown nonstop with that configuration.

I was just there at the end of April/beginning of May. It was very quiet. Thankfully not Langoliers quiet… It’s a money-saver for those of us in the US who want to visit family in the Maritimes. There was a $300 difference between flying to there and flying in to Saint John, NB! My parents drove the three hours to come and get us and take us back. Whole lot of nothing in between.

Sure is teeny-tiny. The one in Saint John is even smaller.
