Nobody got hurt. God forbid somebody annoys a law-breaking shithead. :dubious: Didn’t know she was your mother. :o Sorry about getting upset temporarily over a stupid asshole on a bad day. Didn’t realize I had to schedule my tantrum with you first for approval. Fuck me for delaying her trip home to her Perrier bath and caviar face mask. :smack: I forgot silver Jaguar whores get preferential treatment in California. And somebody ought to have reminded me that doing NOTHING would change her behavior!
In fact, the next time I see a biker in that lane, I’m going to run him over just so the Jag bitch can have that lane unfettered! How about that huh?
The OP reminded me of a fine summer day when I was driving down I-295 in Jersey with my family on our way home from church.
Traffic was backed up solid, barely moving, and nobody was using the shoulder at all, so I said “Why isn’t anyone using the shoulder?” out loud to anyone who cared.
Moments later, we were zipping along at a prudent 35-40mph down the shoulder.
A mile or so before my exit, some unpleasant person decided to take matters into his own hands and he started easing his SUV over the white line onto the shoulder, straddling the line. I kept moving forward. I moved as far to the right as I could and slowly approached the self-righteous person.
He eased closer, to the point that when I passed, his mirror hit mine and folded mine back (nice that they fold like that).
He leaned on his horn, and probably gave the Jersey Salute, but I didn’t see.
All the way home, I was thinking “I would have done just what he did if I were in his shoes…”
But…
He (and most of the other drivers) had missed that great huge gigantic flashing road construction sign back at the on-ramp from Route 1 that said:
“LEFT LANE CLOSED. USE RIGHT TWO LANES AND SHOULDER”
The OP doesn’t seem like a big deal. He just blocked her ass for a while; everything is fine, no need to get all worked up.
That said, I find road rage so weird. Like people that get upset when they are ‘cut off’ in traffic. That makes no sense to me at all. If you can safely pass me, and you want to go faster than me, why should I get all offended about that?
I’m from a small city in upstate NY. Everyone is so damn sensitive about driving. If you simply pass someone, they go bananas and think you are trying to race them. Downstate, it is entirely different. So much rowdy traffic…no one takes offense if you cut them off…it is just expected. Weird.
But I really posted to ask yall to please quit it with the smilies. Looks like someone tossed a handfull of skittles at my monitor.
I totally hear the OP - sometimes I want to do things like that too. There are a couple of intersections I use regularly where a lane ends about 20 ft past the intersection, and yet people get in that lane, as if I should let them get in front of me. Guess what, I know what the lane does (and so do you if you can read road signs) and I got in the back of the appropriate line cause that is the “fair” thing to do. (yes I know life isn’t fair, but if we all quit insisting that we get to be at the front of the line, it would be a little better)
Not really a similar situation I guess, but its still a matter of “get in line and quit acting like a pompous ass”.
