I think the problem is that you do rely on stupid retarded sources that do not correct what they are repeating to the rank and file.
So who told you to parrot that that was never corrected Damuri Ajashi?

except the ideas that Destroi cites can regularly be found on Huffington Post, Daily Kos, Democrat Underground, and of course, SDMB. As well as pundits on panels who are said to be “on the left.”
No they don’t, bigot. Still sticking with your bigotry, huh? Do you really want to be the type of person that considers a whole class of people “repulsive” and “disgusting” for the way they live their lives when it doesn’t affect you at all?
He has not pinged my radar on bigoted issues, but he does appreciate torture and likes guys like Hitler lover Duterte in the Philippines.
Nope, don’t think so.
bump because given Trump’s likely victory, having seen the exit poll that said a plurality of Americans want a more conservative successor to Obama, my theory that liberalism has gotten out of control is vindicated.
Now that Trump might win, I wonder if Democrats think pushing the transgender thing, Redskins thing, etc. was worth it.
Yes, actually, some of us do, believe it or not. (Are you still scared of the big bad TransBoogeyman under the bed?)
whatever my feelings on trans, clearly, many other people don’t like being seen as or treated like we’re evil because we don’t see how one can just change his/her gender. We’re not evil because we express skepticism. Same thing on illegal immigration and Muslim refugees.
Are there crazies who think things for the wrong reasons? YES. But they are not the vast majority of Trump voters, which comprise roughly half the country.
It’s not what you think, it’s how you act and how you try to make your own "opinions’ mandatory for others to obey. You don’t like trans? Don’t associate with them. You don’t like Muslims or blacks or Mexicans? Stay away from them.
In short, MYOB.
But there have been more than enough 'dog whistles" this past year or so, that you won’t convince me it’s anything other than what it is. eFar and hatred of The Other. Bigotry. Stupidity.
Tell me what ESPN firing Curt Schilling was about? Tell me what a “transphobe” is. Tell me what progressives forcing non-progressive speakers away from colleges is about. I could go on.
No problem. I was pretty sure you had made a made a mistake (or I had overly antagonized you in the BLM thread)
So you link a site that says that Obama was mostly false in saying that women make 77% of what men make (all things remaining equal) to refute the statement that I was accusing liberals of saying that women make 77% of what men make (all things remaining equal). But that Obama later refined his language to get rid of variables like hours worked, the kind of work done, level of experience… and in that sense the statement becomes true?
Then the true statement is misleading. I might as well say that cops kill more whites than blacks.
And that is not how the pay gap is presented in arguments. It was presented as an apples to apples comparison. Now you say the gender pay gap relies on comparing apples to oranges? Then its not a pay gap.
Duterte loves Hitler?
I don’t particularly like him but he is the elected leader of the Philippines with a 90+% popularity rating. Hardly what I would call a dictator.
If they don’t push issues, there is really no point in their existence. They might as well become the moderate wing of the Republican party.
You’re a bigot because you’ve called trans people “repulsive” and “disgusting”, not because you don’t understand them. If it was merely not understanding them, then you could be educated (if you wanted to learn). But you have hatred/repulsion/disgust for them based on their gender identity.
That’s bigotry.
Tell me why I should care what you think. Then explain why anyone else should either. Then explain why life should be ordered around what you think. I live in California, and I have NO problem avoiding people I don’t want to deal with.
Amazing, ain’t it.
I don’t give a damn about Schilling either.
they should push issues, but after big and divisive ones they do win, they should follow it up with milquetoast ones people can more easily agree on. Notice how Reagan did start his term with what were then controversial tax cuts, and then during his second term, he mainly did bipartisan things, like immigration reform, foreign policy, etc. and took popular stances, not unpopular ones like the Iran $150 billion jackpot. And he did that to help elect his party successor. Bill Clinton also did better by Gore, despite Lewinsky, given that Gore was closer in the electoral vote and won the popular vote by more than Hillary has. After Clinton’s valiant attempt to get gays into the military, which was rebuffed by Colin Powell, and Hillarycare, he pivoted. In his second term, he did popular things like balancing the budget, popular foreign policy action, etc.
No, I merely said in my first post about transgenders that I was scared that someday, not being attracted to them and openly saying so would be “bigoted” as it is to say that about people of certain races. And I’ve been proven right. The left is trying to insinuate it. You need to read this.
You’re a liar (bolding mine):
“Repulsive” and “disgusting” (and “Ew”) are your words, liar. Not understanding transgender issues is not bigoted. Not being attracted to trans people is not bigoted. Questions about trans people and sports is not bigoted.
But calling trans people “repulsive” and “disgusting” is bigoted. Your own bigoted words. Ask yourself if demanding that “Christians can find Jews repulsive without being called a bigot, and can say so in public” is a bigoted request or not.
Or hide behind your bigotry with lies, if that’s what you want.
If you don’t want to be called a bigot, don’t say bigoted things, and apologize for past bigoted things you’ve said. If you don’t want to be called a liar, stop lying about the bigoted things you’ve said.
I agree with the following except for “the left … have won all of the important fights.” Lack of health care? Egregiously insane income inequality? There are very important fights left.
I’m posting now, not to say “We told you so,” but in hopes liberals wake up a little. Was it Confucius or Voltaire who first said the following?
“The Best Is The Enemy Of The Good.”
Let us ponder those words while crying ourselves to sleep for the next four years.
