I will henceforth refer to myself as a Grammar Centurion.
When you are having a conversation in real life with someone, you use pauses, inflection and body language to emphasize your point.
When you are having a written conversation (such as when posting on a message board), you do not have those tools. So, we use proper grammar and punctuation (not to mention white space) to get our point across.
I actually went into that thread quite interested (since studies can be interpreted differently so science CAN be opinion) and had to leave because I couldn’t easily understand your posts and the thread didn’t make much sense if I skipped them.
You are new here. The prevailing culture on this board would appreciate that you speak to us intelligibly. If you don’t want to to that, you will find an uphill battle.

You know, maybe it is a silly expression. I mean, the Nazis didn’t go around correcting Jews and gypsies. A grammar Nazi puts you in a camp. A conversation camp, perhaps.

Argue as you wish. Our language enables us to express ourselves in paper-thin degrees of nuance; accompanied with proper punctuation one can post succinct and meaningful messages. Proper use of our language can display a high degree of intelligence and wit; sloppy writings suggest the opposite. Your choice.
