I saw a Kerry commercial...

I just saw a Kerry commercial. A KERRY commercial! In INDIANA, on a broadcast meant for an INDIANA audience. I had no Idea Bush’s campaign was doing so badly that the Kerry team thinks it’s worth their while to pay any attention to Indiana.

What did Kerry promise to do? Abolish the separate divisions in the high-school basketball playoffs?

Really? In Indiana? I just saw a Kernan commercial last night for the first time - maybe the Indiana Dems just got a package deal on some airtime.

Those Mitch Daniels shows are pretty annoying though, huh?

I should think that it makes sense to pay attention to every state. For one thing, there are a whole lot of folks that voted for Bush 2.0 in the last election that have no intention of doing so in this one. Also, even assuming that Kerry looses, if he has a high percentage or even the majority of the popular vote that (supposedly) will help to frame the debate or move the agenda towards the Center in the years to come. Finally, it has been my observation that nothing pisses folks off in quite the same way as a candidate ignoring their state because they will probably loose it anyway. Yep. Seems pretty politically sound to me.

Hell, I’m in Florida (new state catchphrase: “The President-Pickin’ State”) and I still haven’t seen a Kerry commercial.
