We were at the Ashland, OR Shakespeare Festival to see Julius Caesar. Some of the actors were getting the audience jazzed up for the opening scene of the play where Caesar enters Rome. One guy was being particularly animated and in profile I thought “Silence of the Lambs dude!” No, not Tony Hopkins, but Tony Heald. Turns out that it really was him, playing supporting characters in the play. Caesar was played by a woman, which I thought strange at first, but it worked. The guy really is a ham and is hard to miss in whatever media in which he’s hired to chew scenery.
