Neo Nazis and skinheads have been around a long time I think their basic ideas are:
- The Holocaust was a lie

Hunh, I still remember how shocked I was the day (sometime in '81) I was driving north out of Houston on I-45 and saw a guy standing by the roadside in full KKK regalia, waving at the passing cars.
Can’t say as I can remember ever seeing a Nazi anywhere but on TV though. At least none that were advertising the fact.
There used to be annual KKK parades down Congress Avenue in Austin. The city being what it is, protests were less angry shouting and more silly fun. My favorite was the Moon The Clan movement. A wave of bare butts down the sidewalk, leading the pointy-headed ones all the way to the capitol.
When they died off to about eight active members, the parades ended. Guess you could say they didn’t have a minyan.

Does anyone here remember the Christian talk show, “Talk Back With Bob Larson”? It peaked in popularity in the late 1980s, and dissolved in scandal in the mid 1990s; Bob not only went through a messy divorce, he also made not-very-thinly veiled threats against President Clinton. Anyway, the founder of the Raelians, Claude Vorilhon, used to call his show all the time. I know now that this was for real, because Claude/Rael has a very distinctive-sounding voice.
The program was mostly good for a laugh.

88 stands for HH - H being the 8th letter of the alphabet - and thus Heil Hitler.
It’s by no means a universal thing but as I understand it, neo-nazis basically adopted it as code. The 8th letter of the alphabet is H, therefore 88 = HH. HH = Heil Hitler.

I might be wrong, and I really don’t care for the odious task of trying to dig for cites on this particular subject, but when I looked at that pic linked in the OP, I noted the red slash going over a combined star of david and the swastika-like symbol. My first impression was that this group’s symbol is an attempt to godwinize zionists and conflate them with the nazis.

Don’t hold it against me, because it sincerely was all about dread curiosity and “research” (in the same sense that you research German bukkake, y’know ?) but some blokes apparently go "The Holocaust is good for Them Jews’ moral highground, and Them Jews are implicitly terrible in every thing on account of they’re Jews ; **therefore **the Jews AND THE NAZIS (and this is the salient part) collaborated so that Them Jews would get a pass for ever and ever on everything at the cost of having like a billion of them killed (often in horrific fashion); and that’s a fair trade apparently.
See, the Jews and the German Nazis were all in it together, which is why you gotta support American Nazis. Because they oppose Them Jews, which is the same as opposing the historical Nazis. And if you have to borrow the Nazis’ playbook to do so, well, that’s unfortunate but it works so there.

How close is this image to what you saw? I immediately recognized the image as the Raëlian symbol (misused to represent “Zionism,” possibly by someone who’d also fail to define Zionism). But I didn’t understand that from your description.
