I saw "The Sentinel" today!

Just saw The Sentinel with Michael Douglas and Kiefer Sutherland. All-in all, it was okay; it played like a 24 Special!Episode!, complete with Kiefer essentially playing Jack Bauer-lite, perimeters, malls, student-against-mentor (hey…) and plot holes you can drive a truck full of nerve gas through. Still, though, it was a good turn-your-brain-off flick. Great for a matinee.

Eva Longoria made for great background eye candy, and Kim Basinger isn’t half bad either (she’s aged pretty well).

What I got a kick out of was the fact that three TV pop-culture icons were on display:

(1) Jack Bauer
(2) Gabrielle

and

(3) President Sledge Hammer!

One thing I gotta know…is Keifer’s character the Secret Bad Guy?

I’m wondering that as well. For some reason, it seems like the obvious kind of “plot twist”.

Like that in

The Life of David Gale.

I never saw it but I guessed the twist from the trailors and premise.

You would think they’d do the obvious thing, but no.
