I swear I love this Job!!!!!!

You know what?

No?

Well, I’ll tell ya.

All the time I see these long posts about how awful somebody’s job is or how they are always afraid of posting on the SDMB while at work. Well, I just have one thing to say to ya’ll…

Naaah, Nah, Naaah, Nah, Naaaaaaaaaaaah, Nah
:sticking out tounge:
Not only to I get to post here all I want, which I don’t do enough, but I play Counter-Strike here as well!!
Mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha…
:gasp:
:choke:
:grabbing Ventolin as he runs from the angry mob:

MWHAHAHAHA yourself!

While you are sitting in your office staring at the computer, I get to travel all over Montana. And I can set about 90% of my schedule, so, let’s see, what have I done in the last two months on my way to and from work sites?

Sail, fly fish, gopher hunt, pheasant hunt, visit my nephew, golf 8 different courses, fly fish, hike, visit my mom, fly fish, hike, fly fish, get drunk with buddies who live another town, fly fish, . . . oh yeah, it started to snow today so next week I might get to ski, snowboard, snowshoe and/or cross-country ski on my way back from a job.

I love my job. Nice tan you got there, TYKLFE.

Actually Whistlepig, I love my job very much. I’m doing exactly what I’ve always wanted to be doing just like you are. I’m sitting on the cutting edge of technology, and it’s a great joy in my life like I’m sure fly fishing is to you.

I work for a major Telecommunications company and part of my job is to keep the internet up and working, but when things get a little slow around here, I get the oportunity to do other things.

But I’m no recluse either, I work in the gardens of my home with the girlfriend, paintball on the weekends, and I’m a rec. runner.

P.S. - I couldn’t tan to save my life, I just burn (my bad luck).

Oh yeah, I almost forgot - I do other things too - here are a couple for you to chew on…

I’m a full time college student (with a full time job)
Mountin Climber (when I have time, which is rare)
Structural Designer
Work on my cars - which includes a couple of engine swaps I’ve done
Fish with my father
Build and fly RC aircraft
Collect Coins
Working on a pilot’s liscense (so dang expensive)
Building an in home wired and wireless network
Working on my CCNA (should have it next month)

So as you can see, I’m quite happy with my life (but I still can’t tan)

Hey, Tyklfe, if you are doing what you like, it’s a great job. That’s what this post was about.

Don’t care to get into the “My girlfriend/hobby/last weekend/garden is better than yours!” thing.
