Rub It In, Why Don'tcha?

To those stuck in their office:

I just took quick work break. I went into my backyard, fired up the grill and cooked up a couple of Bubba Burgers. Damn, they were good.

Telecommuting rocks.

Ok, your turn…rub it in!

I woulda rubbed it in, but I was napping on my lunch hour. Mmmm…with two kitties…mmmmm

Ooh! Ooh! I’m unemployed!

I can nap…well…I’m not making any money…so…I…

Crap.

I finished the big project I was working on yesterday. My next big project doesn’t start for another week. The two minor projects I’m working on require almost no direct action by me. Which means I’m going to be paid to spend a week reading the Straight Dope.

Hey Hal,
BAAAAAAAAA!

I got up at 7:15, to go to the dentist’s, and have a new temporary crown built. Then, my wife drove me back home. She went to work.

I went back to bed, with a kitty snuggled up to my ribs,

Woke up at noon, made tuna salad sandwiches for my wife when she got home for lunch, and joined her. She drove me in to work.

I’m having a nice big Thermos mug of tea.

I suppose I’ll make some promos soon.

I am being paid to surf the Dope and flirt with my co-worker.

AP tests are over, state testing is over, we’ve finished the curriculum in all of my classes, so it is Shogun on the tube for the next week or so. The kids are fascinated.

As a thank you, my company’s getting me out of the office here soon on a guided field trip to study some of the nicest geology in western Colorado and Utah, essentially an extra week’s paid vacation w/ no expenses.

Cool.

Since silenus stopped in…

I am at work, sipping on a lovely IIPA.

When I leave work, I’ll be heading to the local micro. There I will request my Mug Club mug, which was comped, and drink free beer for an hour or so whilst conversing with other local brewers and enjoying a free dinner.

Ratsin’ Fratsin’ mudder pucker!

Hal, I hope you know that you suck.

I got a sub at Wawa and played Spades with my coworkers for 45 minutes at least. A pretty good lunch, but not up to your high ‘falooting’ standards.

Jim

I just took a quick work break, went for a walk up in the woods, and then cut some of my blue flag iris blooms that just popped last night for a vase on my desk.

I might take a quick nap later.

I love working at home too!

I’m still on maternity leave, so I’m just hanging out today. Walked around the block this morning, me pushing the baby stroller, and my 3-year-old pushing her doll stroller. Took 1/2 an hour to go around the block, but it was nice to be outside, and we got a lot of smiles from the neighbors.

I should be getting the house cleaned up, but I was up 3 times last night with the baby, and I just don’t feel much like working!

I am getting paid to pretend like I am working while staring at my dual monitor setup (one monitor is the Dope, the other is being used to burn some CDs). Plus, I can look out the window to my right and see Kapaa Beach Park which is about 200 yards away. Surf should be 4-8 ft today on the East side of Kauai.

The Mr. and I put out two bids this morning, we’re sitting around for a while before we put out our last one. We’ve had breakfast and coffee, I had him read a thread I got involved in in the Pit…
I’m going to take a nap. We’re going to get ready to leave on the toobin’ trip…
Owning your own company is the greatest!
I’m broke, but who cares?

:stuck_out_tongue:

That hurts!

Huh, I just had a little cookout myself, burgers, dogs, brats all the fixin’s. Here at work. Of course we couldn’t have a beer while we were throwing horseshoes, but it is almost time to go home.

Monday is my work-at-home day. So at the beginning of this week, I spent most of the day bashing my head on my desk dealing with constant systems and interfaces failures.

Then I did the dishes.

Not sure what I’m supposed to be rubbing in, unless it’s the fact that I did all of that while not wearing pants.

Lovely Japanese quasi-GF is visiting me for another week until it’s back to Japan. Good times!

Also, right now I’m eating some 3 year aged Roomano Pradera Gouda and you’re not. Neener neener!

Dress or Kilt then?
