I talk about drugs too much.

I realized this a little while ago, but it really hit me in this thread:

I have worked on not talking/thinking about psychoactive substances recently, and will start working harder on same. I guess I started talking a lot about drugs because I used to be really anti-drugs, and once I realized that responsible drug use is safe and can show you a lot of amazing things you would never see otherwise, it just really amazed me.

I guess that’s all. Maybe I’ll implement some sort of system IRL where my non-drug-using friends have to slap me every time I talk about drugs.

OK . . . . starting NOW!

Just decided to read your profile and it appears that you and me are the same person. I suppose that there are at least a few other students out there who fit into the category procrastinator…but how many of them are born on Sept. 19 and hang around the SDMB? Now, I guess that I haven’t been ‘accused’ of talking about drugs too much (but that may be because this is only my fifth post or so… )

If you had written ultimate frisbee in your interests I may very well have had to arrange some sort of check that we don’t have the same DNA and were just separated at birth where I seem to have gotten the short end of the location stick…

Oh, it’s 2am here now. Time to move my clock forward an hour. Yay for less sleep!

Eerie. Are you a psychonaut, by any chance?

Played Ultimate a few times. Never been a favorite sport or anything, although it’s fun when I do play it. I own a frisbee, but have never used it.

As far as location goes, it does appear you got the short end. I’m moving to Tucson for school next year, though, which has slightly worse weather than San Diego (and a monsoon season, interestingly enough). Don’t know if that makes you feel any better.

Nope. Don’t even know what a psychonaut is… Did google it though and have now been listening to some interesting music for a while. Also found some Swedish guy who calls himself Psychonaut and has a bunch of pictures on his site… So, what is a psychonaut?

Well, it doesn’t make me feel any better. I wouldn’t want to wish the perpetual rain I seem to bring with me on anyone. However, I am most likely heading to New Zealand next year to study for a year. Perhaps that will give me some experience of this “nice weather” I hear people speak of from time to time…

One way to say it would be “someone who regularly explores alternate states of conciousness”. Get it now? (Sounds like a great way to find music, BTW–I should try it some time.)

There you go–sounds like you’ll finally get your due.

I get it now. Perhaps I really should learn all the appropriate terms if I plan on continuing to “explore alternate states of conciousness” in the future… I mean, I don’t want to walk around not understanding what my fellow psychonauts are talking about… So, ummm, yeah I guess I could call myself a psychonaut (with strict limits though).

Anyway, goodnight. I think I’m starting to reach the state of tiredness (a completely free and legal mind alterer) where I may start posting all kinds of non-sensical things. (This post has taken quite a bit of rewriting to make it (hopefully) understandable…)
