I think I know how I'm going to get free coffee from now on.

This woman self reports that she bought coffee for the two women who were insulting her while standing directly behind her in line. She claims the cashier reacted in surprise at this selfless act, but her story could not be confirmed. The coffee place did give the kind woman a free mug and a gift card though.

I think I’ve figured out a new way to save on coffee. And I could use a free mug too.

Mostly I just can’t figure out why abc felt the need to report this story.

That is a very weird story, particularly because:

Nobody at the store remembers it happening which means - who reported it to the news? Doesn’t seem like it was the alleged insulters, which means she reported her own act of magnanimity (or they picked it up from her own Facebook post going “viral”, as was mentioned in the video on there).

So we have a crazy bitch with a persecution complex who makes this shit up to make herself look good to her Facebook friends, and now she’s getting the Medal of Honor for it. Sterling.

Right?! It’s just so crazy.

Why is this considered newsworthy?

So these mean people make fun of some crazy bitch and rather than get mad she buys them coffee.

Tim Hortons, rather than get mad at the crazy bitch for making up stories, buys her coffee.

I’m seeing a trend. Someone buy that Tim Hortons manager a coffee, pronto! We gotta keep this going.

How did she buy their coffee if they were behind her in line? Did she like stand off to the side and wait for them to order…

Her facial expressions in the video indicate that she is a bullshitter. I don’t buy it.

Ah, finally! Paying it Forward has appeared in mass culture.

While I’ve never done the pay it forward coffee line thing, I have given my BOGO free drink to the person behind me.
(I have however been bitten by this when the person behind me orders a way more expensive drink than mine since you pay for the higher priced one).

No problem. I already bought her a coffee.

At least I’m saying I did and you can’t prove I didn’t.

Not Paying It Forward-Pouring It Forward.

Anybody see my coffee? I left it around here somewhere.

How long has Tim Horton’s been operating in the US? It may be that the company doesn’t have a policy on dealing with mean people.

I have serious doubts that anyone was mean to her. I think she made it up.

I went “old school” and threw a snake at her.

This is how I get free coffee: I wake up and go to my kitchen. There’s always coffee there. Brewed. I never buy it. I never brew it. It’s just there, full can in my cupboard, hot joe in my coffee pot, waiting for me to drink it. Every morning. Damndest thing.

And when I’m out and about during the day: I find the nearest Holiday Inn Express or Staybridge Suites, walk in the front door, say “Hey” to the front desk person, head over to the breakfast area and grab myself a cup o’ joe from the all-day coffee pot. Bingo, bango, free coffee.

But, yeah, this Tim Horton’s thing? Odd.
