Even if I ignored all that, I would find it bothersome that current and recent events are playing out exactly the way the Bible prophesied. The Jews were scattered to the wind, they became greatly persecuted in WW2, became a nation again, and somehow this tiny nation is the focal point in current events. Way too concidential.

So if you are asking God to heal an amputee, he are asking him to create out of thin air a part of flesh that is sin corrupted. God can not exist with sin so this just isn’t possible with His nature.

If he created the whole of the world and everything in it, then he created sin, too.

And if he were so loving and forgiving, he could just, y’know, let that whole tree thing slide. It was a long time ago, Eve was young, experimenting in Eden College… How many generations has it been since then, and we still are supposed to bear the sins of the fathers ? How loving is *that *?

Do you believe God changed our dentistry at that time we were expelled from the garden of Eden? We don’t have the teeth of a herbivore.

What, fundamentaly, is the difference? How is creating mechanisms that can lead to birth defects any different from creating them directly? I’m assuming you believe in an omniscient God, able to forsee the consequences of any processes it sets in motion.

Study after study shows that our bodies are healed and protected by eating fruits and veggies. Yet, we crave man made processed foods loaded with fat, sugar and salt. That’s a result of sin affecting the physical body.

That’s not how genetics work; “purity” is the problem, at least when it comes to incest. Speaking very generally, you want genes drawn over time from different sources. It’s when you repeatedly interbreed the same family - when the genetic code is “pure” - that you get problems, because there’s less and less new material to draw from; it’s just the same stuff over and over again.

For an example, just look at historical European royal houses. They interbred (through cousins and relations of that level of distance, anyway) like crazy, very much with the intent to keep the purity of royal blood as high as possible. The end result of “genetic purity” isn’t healthy, long-lived humans - it’s this guy.

Everyone has issues? Some people are near sighted, some are deaf, some walk with a limp, everyone has a handle to wear.

We all have challanges in life. An amputee is just a challange. Thus there’s no need to heal someone who isn’t wounded in their spirit. The physical body is only temporary only.

I think that claims of studies that show a vegetarian diet will heal you of things that a omnivore diet can’t should be backed up by cites.
