I think it's funny that...

… the towns of Sappho and Beaver are next to each other.

We once stopped at a diner in Beaver. My wife was mixed race: Asian with green eyes and freckles, and had to eat while being stared at like she was from Mars.

“Was that Beaver or did we take a wrong turn? More like asshole.”

Only a few hours’ drive away from Humptulips.

I looked on the link above. That is about as far NorthWest as you can go in the “lower 48” as they say.

We have a town named “Beaver Crossing” here in Nebraska.

Here in Michigan, we have Hell and Paradise, but they’re about 340 miles apart.

And right on either side of Lake Pleasant…

On I5 in Northern California there are two exits, Hooker Creek Rd. and Balls Ferry.
I’m thinking you take Balls Ferry across Hooker Creek.

I used to ride to the Damsite Inn in Hell, and enter the Run Through Hell 5/10 mile race!

Let’s not forget Exit 69 off of I-75.

You forgot Feltch, MI. You take highway 69 to get there.

There’s also Feltch Street in Ann Arbor, right near the intersection of Gott/Hiscock

It’s a couple-hundred miles by car to where I am. Were it not for Pt. Roberts, I think I’d be in the farthest NW spot in the ‘lower 48’.
