I think Ron Paul could pull it off

Ron Paul the Lyndon LaRouche of the right.

Well. That’s one way to look at things, I suppose.

The Great Pumpkin will rise up out of the pumpkin patch and turn the situation around before Election Day!

Ah, so that’s what the October Surprise is.

Actually, our latest Paul fanboy is not that far outside the “mainstream” of Paul supporters.

And if Paul had a message for his really extreme adherents, it would not be “Stop helping me!” but rather “Hey, can you guys tone it down a bit? But keep sending me dough.”

 They seriously think Paul is a whole lot more popular than the media lets him appear to be?! So much so that he’s actually winning if we knew the truth?! How can that many adults be that fucking delusional?!

There’s a vast silent majority in favor of Ron Paul. They don’t like talking to pollsters. They don’t like to express their support in the voting booth. And they usually keep quiet about their true preferences. To everyone. Even themselves. Which is why the lizard people are our friends.

hahahah, so true!!!

One of the largest terrorist acts perpetrated in an Israeli airport was by Japanese Marxists.

Perhaps it is a significant criminal issue, but there are far more significant domestic issues. If one trusts the study conducted by the Harvard Medical school claiming that 45k Americans die each year from a lack of medical insurance, then three times as many Americans are killed from a lack of healthcare each year than are murdered.

Yes, that is their right as an individual with money. To restrict someone’s right to use their sexuality to further their employment goals is a sexist liberal NWO plot. Their body and their money are their own property aren’t they? They can vote with their money by not purchasing their employer’s products!

I don’t think that the GDP of industrial countries can be attributed to the success of fractional reserve banking (there are alternatives btw, including credit unions).

Also, RuPaul would probably need a gynaecologist if they pulled it off.

Perhaps not, but it is a necessary condition.

And credit unions do use fractional reserve banking. The only difference between a bank and a credit union is who owns it.

It occurs to me, if the thing he is going to “pull off” is his own head, after which his headless body will dance an unholy jig while making obscene gestures? I credit that as not just possible but somewhat probable.

If the thing he’s going to “pull off” is an electoral victory, I find that markedly less probable.

If we believe them, a majority.

Oh, didn’t realise. What about Islamic banks?

Wikipedia on Islamic Banking: In theory, Islamic banking is an example of full-reserve banking, with banks achieving a 100% reserve ratio.[30] However, in practice, this is not the case, and no examples of 100 per cent reserve banking are observed.[31] Realize though that in the majority-Islam republic of Pakistan, Islamic Banks have a market share of only 6%. So we’re talking about a niche market. Which I frankly know very little about, though I perceive it to be a gimmick, albeit a rapidly growing one.
More generally, fractional reserve banking is a cornerstone of capitalism. Some countries (eg Germany) emphasize it more than others (eg the US, which is equity-based). But it’s still a central mechanism of financial intermediation.

Consider private bank loans as a fraction of total output, 2005:
United Kingdom: 155%
Japan: 98%
Mexico: 15%
Sierra Leone: 4%
