I think you were a little quick on the trigger...

With that fellow “dandmb50” and the thread he started last week in GQ about airlines starting to add a “fuel surgcharge” to their prices. He asked a legitimate question: why they don’t honestly raise fares when fuel prices rise. Instead, everyone responded as if he expected airlines to give away free tickets.

I think you guys should have read his OP more carefully before closing up that thread.

Yes, he had a real question, but the tone and phrasing of the post were ranting. It’s no coincidence that people interpreted it as such. If you’ll notice, I invited him to re-phrase the question a little more carefully, and re-post it in GQ, if he wanted an answer, or to put it in the Pit, if he wanted to rant.
