I’m feeling like I might make a major update to the China twins in the next couple of days. But first just a sneak peek. Their 12 birthday is coming up on Dec 24th - time flies.
So, we decided to flee the darkness and rain of Seattle, and booked a really affordable deal at a resort in Jamaica, mon. It’s an all-inclusive place, so the twins love being able to run around, order stuff, grab snacks, etc. and I feel safe for the two of them doing that.
The resort has one of the practice surfing/boogey boarding “flowrider” water machines. My 16 year old figured it out pretty nicely. I’m getting the hang of it. My eldest twin started with the boogie boarding and then decided to try the surfing. Youngest twin had a blast doing the boogie boarding as long as I pushed her into the drop (she hasn’t gotten the hang of jumping in).
Then one of the resort guys got my oldest twin going and she’s able to go for a minute completely on her own. THEN he got my youngest on the board and she loved it, and could go as long as a 10 count before he had to help her with balance.
Me, I’m hiding happy tears behind my sunglasses. For the past 12 years I never dreamed that all three could do something physical like that together.
