I CAN believe that an individual, idiotic salesperson might try this once (if it had been in my store once and OUT would have been it). It’s tougher for me to believe this is an individual store policy unless the manager is completely and utterly insane. The violations of privacy issues and possible lawsuits would make any Regional Manager apoplectic. Having said this I take what you and the others mods say with a great deal of weight. Therefore I apologize to Pluto for doubting his veracity and I will call the store in the morning just to satisfy my curiousity as to their policy.
It happens, astro. It has happened to me on Long Island and in Central Jersey within the last couple of years. I only go in there as an absolute last resort.
Now I feel guilty cause I’m sitting here thinking that if that is the worst lie you’ve ever told - then thats pretty darn good. Weren’t any of you people ever teenagers? Once, as a teenager, I tried to convince my parents that I wasn’t drunk while being drunk. Of course they figured it out but hey, it was worth a shot.
So, Pluto – IMHO you don’t have to any lose any sleep over this one. Just get over it.
