You may also want to look for slouch hat.

Here’s a Confederate Slouch Hat, which is available in chocolate brown (shown), grey, or black. It’s $75, and you’ll need to find the ‘cavalry cord’. Since it’s a factory order, there’s a $15 shipping charge. The one in the link looks like you can ‘bash’ it yourself so that you get just the shape you want. Only, the one reviewer said he received his pre-shaped.

Another option would be to visit a local Western wear store and see what they have in stock. You might find a ‘close enough’ hat, and they may carry ‘economy’ hats and maybe cords.
