I want to be a tailgate vendor

I want to walk around at football tailgates and sell stuff. What do I need? I suppose a vendor’s license, but what if I want to sell tobacco…cigars for example. Who can give me the skinny? I realize I can probably search on google, but I’m looking for real life answers. I live and plan to sell in Maryland.

I’m guessing that before you do anything re getting a municipal or state vendor’s license you need to get the permission of the stadium authority to do this on their property. If cigars etc is what you want to sell I kind of doubt any US stadium will let you retail tobacco products anywhere near their property.

Every time I go to a game at UVA, I see guys walking around selling stogies.

Most stadiums would require a license fee and maybe even a cut of your sales.

And, in my experience they are 7-Eleven Macanudos with Cohiba bands.
