Please feel free to ridicule my taste in music, but when you’re done can you help me?
I have some iTunes gift cards that have just been sitting around and I recently stumbled upon the release of “Do What You Want, Be What You Are” by Daryl Hall and John Oates. For some reason it will only let me preview the boxed set (which is something like $36.99 on Daryl Hall’s website) but I can’t buy it. I can buy all the songs separately but there are 60 songs listed.
Is there a way to do this or is iTunes just trying to get the most bang for my buck?
I just clicked on **gazpacho’s **link and see that I’ve completely missed the album “Live at the Troubadour” which IS available on iTunes so I think I’ll buy it, but I still have almost enough left over to buy the boxed set.
You can try getting to the album via a different route: Search for “H&O Box” or something, then click on that link. I’ve even found albums that weren’t on the artist’s site that way.
OR… save money by just buying “Abandoned Luncheonette”. Best album of the 70s, and it’s all been downhill since.
