I want to see 'Enterprise', dang it!

No, you’re not, Nate. Send me your address–I’ve got a VCR and digital cable.

Bah, post in MPSIMS and half a dozen people will offer to tape it for you and spend the < four bucks to mail you the tape later.

Enjoy,
Steven

JC says he has no VCR, but I’m sure one of us DC Dopers could record it and invite him over to watch when he’s able.

Again…I don’t have a VCR.

The fates are gunning for me.

Shoot, I misunderstood. Alas, I have a DVD player, but no burner. Time to buy Tivo, JC

My point was that you would have a copy at your disposal and you would no longer be at the mercy of your apparently whimisical local UPN affiliate. Scheduling a couple hours at a friend/family member who has a VCR’s place shouldn’t be too hard. The important thing is that you would now be able to view the episode at your convenience, although you may have to borrow/travel to infrastructure. Heck, my local video store rents VCRs for a few bucks a day if you’re really desperate to see an extremely hot vulcan chick in her skivvies and rubbed all over with lotion.

Enjoy,
Steven

In other news, a pit thread that started out with a very promising rant on the subject of TV programming took an unusual turn by becoming a campaign to save the poor VCR-less Doper by somehow getting him a copy of the Enterprise Pilot.

Odd. Very, very odd.

Kn(wish I could help you, ** JC ** . Hope somebody can!)ckers

If i still lived in the midwest i would have access to my third VCR, which i could mail to you. If you still need one around christmas, let me know.

I can borrow one from a pal. I just worked it out.

gobear, can you show me some love, buddy?

JC, if you want I could record it and you watch it at our place. Problem is that my GF (Angie) wouldn’t be comfortable around someone she doesn’t know but has agreed to let you visit when she’s not home. She has the mid-day shift at a CVS on Sundays and has a class on Monday nights for the next couple of weeks. Lemme know if either of those days is good for you.

Ah, I see you found a solution while I was writing.

The thought is appreciated Jeff.

Don’t forget to bring your girl to the Dope-A-Ween. We’ll see if we can cure her of her fear of strangers.

Because they don’t get much stranger, do they?

No can do, she’s a former Jehova’s Witness who still holds some of their beliefs (e.g.: not celebrating Halloween).

If you (anybody) gets really desperate for a missed episode of Enterprise, I tape them. I would have to make two tapes–one for my brother and another of the Sunday rerun for a spare–but I really would do it.

Well, dang. There must be SOME way we can meet!

Maybe she could come disguised as one of them Catholics;)

Well, well, the missing 9/11 repeat of “Broken Bow” turned up quite unexpectedly last night, 11:30, (West coast time) with no mention of it at all in the TV paper for that time, although they had written it up for the 11th. I only happened to find it when flipping the channels around. It is also mentioned quite clearly for another run tonight at 8:00, which is the regular time for the episodes’ re-broadcasts.
Waiting to see if they really show it…Yep, there it is. I wasn’t going to believe it till I saw it.
