Thrusts fists in the air ala Homer
WOO-HOO!!!
Of course it wasn’t my first choice, and I’d have to go for 3 years, but still, I got in!!!
What? Oh, more details?
Sure,
I’ve applied to 8 radiology programs at various schools/hospitals; in Maine, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
All of the programs except one are 2 years long, which means either a ceritification or an AA degree.
I applied to the University of Charleston in Charleston, West Virginia, which turned out to be a 4 year program, and that’s the one I got accepted at.
Which is really cool, but I already spent 8 years getting my first bachelors, and I really don’t want to spend another 4 years getting my 2nd, as I would actually be getting old by the time I graduated.
Another problem was that Charleston apparently had very little experience with transfer students, which was how I was applying.
However, after my dad had several conversations with a professor and someone in both the admissions office and the administration I get to go in as a sophmore, meaning if everything went well I would graduate in 3 years.
So, any Dopers from Charleston, West Virigina? Anyone? What’s it like?
Now, who wants pie?
