Well, my high school’s science wing was used as a set for an indie film called *Off the Black * today, and as part of the agreement, all the drama club members were allowed to be part of the set, and some of our techies helped out with the equipment.
Basically, all we did was sit around and pretend to listen to Physics in one scene, and act as background noise in the hallway. Still, all of the actors (all three :p) there were really kind, normal guys who kept on cracking jokes, carrying a bowl of old fruit salad, and pretending to be class clowns.
All in all, it was a really cool experience, and it gave me a lot of insight into what I would be doing if I ever got into acting seriously and actually made it.
So if you happen to go to a film festival and see it, watch out for the girl with half dyed reddish hair , glasses, and a green shirt…
I was an extra in a Korean movie when I was stationed there. I never got a chance to see it though. One guy who did told me I was on screen quite a bit for an extra though.
I was in “Superfly”
I havent seen the scene in a really long time but there is a scene in a diner and Im the baby in the stroller. I remember my grandfather was in the scene as well. Anyone know the movie well enough to know what Im talking about? There has to be a “Superfly” expert on the straight dope somewhere…haha.
I was an extra in The Right Stuff, but I didn’t make it into the final edit.
I was mutilated by space aliens in Mutilation Maniacs. I had my throat cut in Elysium. I’m hacked to death by ‘The Patchwork Killer’ in Cut Up. I wonder if my friend is trying to tell me something?
We just announced a casting call for our film at tonight’s film group meeting.
I had a small part in a friend’s film (which got shown at a couple small festivals); I had two lines (“Can you check if the girls are here yet?” and “I’m going to the bar,” IIRC), so I wasn’t technically an extra, but it wasn’t much more than that.
Not on the set. I did get his attention at an airshow though.
Also, my dad was in the FAA. One time Yeager’s AC Delco ultralight made a forced landing in the desert. Dad went out and picked him up and brought him back to the airport.
I had a brief (but, I am told, important) role in a film written, directed, and starred by vibrotronica. It won Best Narrative Feature at last year’s indieMemphis festival, no doubt on the strength of my thirty seconds of ranting and hollering.
