There I was next to the coffee shop drinking my black coffee when I noticed a woman running to the train. As she past me she looked at me and I said “hello”, she just nodded and smiled. The train pulled away and there she was running after it saying, “Wait! You saw me!.” as the train was getting farther away, she threw her water bottle at it and was nearly in tears. She looked at me and said, “Now I’m going to be late for work…this is just great!”
My work truck was at the curb and I said to her, “Hop in my truck and I’ll give you a quick ride to the next station.” She said she was fine and apologized for her outburst. I said “Come on! Get in we can get to the next station, no problem.” She said “Are you sure?”
Well I got her to the next station just in time for her to get on and you know what? It felt great.
I wonder if she would have offered YOU a ride?
ahh well, it’s good to do those random acts of kindness…maybe one of those random acts will come back to you.
