I wasn't going to post this but ....

what the hell.

Today is the 100th anniversary of Bobby Jones’ birth. For you non-golfers and others of the deprived class, Jones was the first real golf super-star. He played as an amateur his whole tournament golfing career.

Over a tournament career of 7 years he won 13 titles in the four major tournaments open to amateur players, US and British Amateur and the US and British Open. In 1930 he won all four of those events. He then abandoned tournament golf almost entirely because it interfered with his family relationships and his development in his profession. Afterward he originated the idea of the Masters Tournament in Augusta, GA. and was active in its operation until his death in 1971.

As a trivia question, what was his profession?

He was a lawyer by profession.
Very fitting that you should choose this anniversary of his birth to remind us of a sportsman extraordinaire.
