I went to a "haunted" house tonight

They did a pretty good job. Two haunted houses, both in a giant tents. The larger of the two was a standard theme they called Trilogy Of Terror. They say "
The horrifying sights, sounds and smells of the backwoods bayour await anyone foolish enough to enter." It took about 10-15 minutes to walk though.

They were sending people through in groups of 4 to 6. Three of us went through with a mother and her two pre-teen boys. The group directly behind us was a gaggle of teen girls. No one in the group wanted to go first so I took the lead. About half way through the gaggle of teen girls caught up to us. I wanted to watch these kids get scared so I said someone else has to go first for a while. Almost the entire group replied with a loud “NO!” My 14 year old daughter decided she’d show the gaggle of older teen girls she wasn’t scared. She took the lead. Good for her I thought. We ended up loosing the lot of them in a pitch black maze.

I did manage to scare the crap out of one the people working at the haunted house. Through the entire maze there were small panels on the walls that could be slid open quickly to scare people. Most were pretty hard to spot because of how they worked them into the wall (one panel was a picture in a picture frame). You’d walk by, someone would slam the panel open, scream, and shut it real quick. I noticed one of these panels about 10 feet in front of me. I snuck up to it and stood with my face directly in front of it. When the girl opened the panel there’s my ugly mug 2 inches from her’s. She jumped back about a foot. snicker

The smaller of the two was clown themed. They had Killer Klowns from Outer Space! That was fun as well.

The best part of the whole thing was Zombie paintball. For $5 you get 35 paintballs and get to shoot at teenaged boys dressed as zombies. Man, teenaged boys move fast when you catch them in the ass with a paintball only 20 feet away.

I did feel a little bad because my gun shot high and I was aiming for the body. About 10 times I cliped these guys right in the back of the head (one in the ear). That makes them move quick as well. I didn’t feel too bad because at the end of the day they agreed to be shot by paintballs.
