If she hadn’t given that speech on Monday, seeing her sing Get Ur Freak On would have been the awesomest thing I saw her do this week.
And I’m not a celebrity fanboy, I don’t give a shit about most famous people, but not only do I find her elegant and cool and an inspiring speechifier, but when she’s just chatting one-on-one in a more intimate setting, she’s kind of adorable too. All-in-all, a pretty great first lady. Barack did good.
I admire and respect Michelle Obama deeply and thoroughly. It’s become depressingly rare for me to feel that way about anyone recently. I wish I could thank her personally for being her uplifting, so-intelligent, classy, compassionate, down-to-earth, witty and refreshing self. You Americans have a genuine treasure in her.
Skinnybones Lampshade, you totally can write her a fan letter, via this site: Contact Us | The White House
I looked for a direct email but it doesn’t seem to be published.
Well, it’s not like they are going to evaporate. Two very impressive and classy people who will continue to contribute. Barak on the Supreme court, Michelle in the white house? it’s possible.
I concur. I liked both the Ms. Bushes ok even while opposing their husbands’ policies but Michelle (it just seems so right to call her that, not First Lady or Mrs. Obama) is in a whole 'nother league.
She’s much too nice a person to do something that horrible to…
Of course it was set up and possibly rehearsed, but damn if she didn’t look like she was enjoying the hell out of it, and I mean ‘really’ enjoying, not the faux face so many politicians’ wives (and women politicians) put on every day.
Why should she take the second spot? She’s said she doesn’t want to be a politician, I don’t blame her, finding out that she did would actually lower my opinion of her. I really hope to see her as a leader outside of government.
