I wish Netflix had traditional movie trailers

I have both Netflix and Amazon Prime. While they both have a vast array of movies, I find it much easier to find stuff to watch on Amazon due to the fact that they have the trailers and have IMDB ratings. Netflix has some sort of rolling preview in the background (which I hate!) and a recommend match percentage of how much they think I’ll like it. I don’t find those really valuable when browsing for things to watch. When using Netflix, I often search externally to see the trailer and ratings to see if it’s worth watching. Or more often, I just switch over to Amazon and look for movies there. If it wasn’t for the kids having some of their favorite TV shows on Netflix, I’d cancel since I can rarely find movies I want to watch.

Anyone else feel the same way? Does Netflix have any plans to add regular movie trailers?

Netflix does have trailers. For shows you can find it in the episode listing (generally at the bottom) or on their YouTube channel.

I will say that I find the automatically rolling start/previews to be extemely annoying, especially since it often comes up to whatever show it is trying to hawk, and blasts it out at elevated volume whether you are interested or not. No, I do not want to watch Bright or Fuller House.
