MAGA could never be trusted. You do not beat people up and do horrible things again and again and say “ooops” sorry. (checks forum) Fuck those people. They will always do it again if they can. They need to be called out for what they are.

Trump has tainted the USA’s reputation for at least generations.
Even if his toadies are voted out, thrown in prison, flee the nation in disgrace, and MAGA is eliminated, other nations have to at least wonder if and when the next Trump is going to take over. It’s like if you see a coworker snap and lash out physically, maybe they were having an exceptionally bad day and were acting uncharacteristically, people aren’t going to just forget that. Folks will be wary of that person for a long, long time.

They are watching and are probably as afraid of Trump’s actions as we are.
People still want to come to America and can be attested by our immigration/border issues. I don’t know stats but there have been some Americans who have bailed on this country and many more who’d like to. I think the cost and lifestyle may prevent it in many situations. Occasionally they get to another place and find strife and discord or hampering because Americans are not sure how to act overseas(in many cases). For many reason it does not work out.
The USA has big problems, to be sure. It’s still a great place to live for a great many. And can save someone from an untenable life in the country they were born into.
I totally get we are in fear here. I am. I’m worried about myself and my kids, grandkids going forward.
I don’t see how we can come out of this with the lifestyle we have enjoyed for many decades in this country.
But we always have shaken the problems and moved forward with a better path. It’s never been perfect or fair. But who promised perfection and fairness. Even the founding fathers couldn’t have divined what we have gone thru, throughout our history.
We’ve done some stuff. Very good things in this country.

And I guess the flaw in my metaphor is that there is no HR department for the nations of the world. The UN might be the closest thing, but it has very little real power. Especially not over the really powerful nations.
I think America has been a third world country since at least W Bush. More than anything, it’s a state of mind. My wife says that she’s thinks Americans just don’t believe they deserve better than to eat processed slop out of styrofoam buckets and live without health insurance.

Baseball caps are not really popular in Europe, few people wear them. Teenagers, if at all. I recommend claiming to be Canadians, it is called flag-jacking, it seems. Some claim it does not work. I recommend further you familiarize yourself with the proper measuremnt systems: no miles or pounds or fahrenheit. And try not to shout too much. No sodas or coffee to go. And avoid real Canadians, they might object.

No Berlin. Though we did a 3 week tour of southern Germany 10 years ago. This trip is Iceland, Norway, England, Scotland and Ireland.

Be glad you have them else the democrat party will take them away,”, and “hand over all your red hats”.
