For those of you too young to remember:
The Grapist was a Doper whose M.O. was to quote a post in its entirety, change the text color to purple, and then say “This post has been graped by the Grapist.”
Over. And over. And over.
Eventually, the moderators got fed up with this and banned him. The comment by the mod who banned him still haunts my memory:
“The Grapist has been banned for wanton acts of violets.”
He didn’t get to do it too many times IIRC, he was banned pretty quickly.
That deserved an award! Given at the Punderdome (which the internet assures me is a real thing).

I confess I do think they are legitimately signs of corruption and rot. They are the consumers of the rotting corpse of our democracy. If I called them traitors they wouldn’t recognize themselves in the word. If they are bothered by MAGAt (which I sincerely doubt) then it’s because it forces them to see that there are people outside their bubble who see them and the policies they support as scummy.
Truly though, nothing makes a MAGAt happier than seeing signs that they are upsetting Liberals. They will gladly burn this country to the ground, just to watch the Liberals cry about it. Admitting that they are scum is not rude or indecorous, it is simply stating truth. They continue to support a regime that illegally attacks other sovereign nations, protects pedophiles, and releases thugs and goons to terrorize the public. The number of people who will die just due to Trump and Musk destroying USAID alone will exceed the number killed by Hitler. They support a regime which has built concentration camps in the United States of America and begun to fill them with people who followed every immigration law. I refuse to be gentle with people who support that.
