I won $100 and I didn't even know there was a raffle!

Yay me! Also, yay to my manager, who put my name and the name of the other new guy in the drawing, because we didn’t know about it. The other guy also won $50!

This is perfect timing, because I have literally bled my savings dry, and don’t get my first paycheck until the 30th. Once I start getting paid, I will actually be making a considerable amount of money for one person, but since I can’t get any more money from my account, I was afraid I was going to have to go without coffee after today, and all you caffeine fiends know what that’s like…

Now, here’s the hard part - what to spend it on? I have enough groceries to get me through until after christmas, and all my presents are bought and paid for. A little bit of it will go to having cash in my pocket to get coffee, the rest will go to something fun, because it’s been quite a while since I’ve had money to splurge on something for myself.

I want boots. Ann Taylor Loft has some nice ones for about $60, which look like they’ll actually fit my calves. Also, Banana Republic has a bunch of skirts and sweaters on sale (ridiculously on sale, like skirts that used to be about $80 which I would not spend that much on are now about $20), and I do need more clothes for work…hmmm…

Also, I need a new pair of glasses, frames and all. My new insurance plan, which includes vision, kicks in on Jan. 1, so maybe I’ll spend it on that. The vision plan is really good, so I probably won’t even have to spend the whole $100 on them unless I get designer frames or something.

You know, I didn’t believe you about the BR sale so I checked online. I’ll be damned if I didn’t just buy two skirts for around twenty-five bucks.

Thanks!

Yeah, they’re stuff is usually ridiculously expensive, but when they say sale, the really mean it! And they don’t just have sales on stuff they only have a few of left - they almost always have they’re full spectrum of sizes, not just the largest and smallest.
