My sister plays in a friendly euchre league, not too competitive just a bunch of folks getting together to play cards and eat munchies once a month. She was whinging on the phone to me yesterday afternoon about what to bring for the potluck part and all my suggestions were shot down as she was adamant about not wanting to run to the grocery store. I finally offered to make jello shots, since I had everything already, she happily agreed.
An hour before she was due to drop by and pick up the jello shots on her way, she called asking if I’d like to go along in place of her husband who’d decided not to go. Since he was offering sitting service for my child as an incentive, sure!
Met some new folks, the jello shots were a certified success and took second place in the tournament for a prize of $23.75! Yay!
