I would rip this apart, but it's just doo damn pathetic.

My problem.

Number one: Is nothing safe from lawsuits anymore?

Number two: A two year old model? Seeking lost wages? Puhleeze.

Come on now, Tripler. This is a perfectly legitimate lawsut. I mean, the kid isn’t getting any younger. He may never be able to work again. He’s at least entitled to some money to finance his way through the McDonald’s training program.

So, this kid can’t audition or take jobs while his head heals. He’ll have the stitches out in 10-14 days, unless he has some other health problem that will make him heal more slowly or is on steroids. Within a month, you probably won’t be able to see the scar at all, and even if you can it’ll be something terribly simple to airbrush out.

Hell, the half-inch deep crater in my thumb was healed enough for me to work with my hands again in four weeks.

How much money does she think this kid would make in a month or so? I’m guessing it’s probably a lot less than the lawsuit would cost.

The hamsters ate my first attempt at this one. Sorry if I ramble a bit, this hits two nerves, lawsuit abuse, and stage mothers.

According to this article on CNN.com:

http://www.cnn.com/2003/LAW/12/26/toddlers.claim.ap/index.html

The mother of a two (yes two) year old model and actor is suing because her little moneymaker…er child, fell down on the playground and will not be able to work while he heals.

Gee, did you even bother to wipe your son’s tears before calling your lawyer?

When I was two, I did not have career aspirations beyond being the Lone Ranger (Well...for one week, then it changed to Batman when my attention wavered). Somehow I doubt being a model was anybody's idea but that of his stage struck mother.

Hey bitch, look on the bright side, maybe you can pop out a little girl who you can name Jon Bennet and then you can live through her instead. After all, if a child can't be pulling in the big bucks in modeling by the time they can walk, what use are they?

The clincher:

Quote:
Mader blamed the boy’s injury on a green railing, which she said blends in with the landscaping. Mader said the railing should be painted a brighter color.
Quote:

Yep, paint a metal railing green, and it disapears. I have a few friends with children. When said children were two years old, they had little trouble telling things like railings from the background, even if they were the same color. This of course did not prevent them from occasionally running into thing, or falling down. Kids do that.

I must admit however that these children are not yet the paths to fame and forture that this tyke may have been had it not been for his disfiguring accident.

Now sadly he may have to grow up a normal little boy. However, I doubt it considering his mother. I have every confidence she will figure out another way to make money off of him.

I question why the kid was at the playground to begin with. Isn’t there much work to be done?

:::::shaking head:::::::

BEAT YA! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m just glad to see I’m not the only one who sees the stupidity of the whole thing.

My eyes can’t roll that far back in my head to show my disdain.

Fuck them. That happened in Minneapolis. That’s my tax money they’re after.

Oops, someone already started a thread on this

Mods, feel free to close this one.

Sweetums

I started a thread on this myself before I read this one. My problem with this bitch and people like her, is that she, dosen’t see this kid as her son, or a little boy. He is a moneymaker. Since she can’t pimp him out to modeling agencies, she might as well make a few bucks off of his pain.

I pit the fucking scum money-grubbing lawyer who took this case. Wastes of skin, both mom and lawyer.

How many green playground railings did Mom run into as a child, that she thinks this lawsuit stands a chance?

Disregard my former post. This appeared in the local paper under the headline “Two year Old Sues City.” I mistakenly assumed it meant our fairy c., and didn’t notice the dateline. It’s somewhere back east.

We’re allowing children to play? Outside?! What has the world come to!?

Man, just under the wire Ladies and Gentlemen! The Person Most Worthy of a Pitting, 2003! Will last years winner please forward the trophy?

If she’s that concerned about him she should have been supervising him more closely so he didn’t bang his head.

I hope she doesn’t get a penny. Two year olds shouldn’t have careers.

Yes, and on a playground!!!

Good Lord, how irresponsible can we Americans be?!?

If I were the judge, I would laugh my ass off when I told her that “I’m throwing this case out on grounds of its frivilous nature.”

I predict in 20 years that children will wear bubblewrap and football helmets.

I think we should allow class-action countersuits. When someone files a stupid suit like this, we, the people should be able to file a suit for unrelenting stupidity.

Rather than close one, I’ve merged the two.
