I don’t know, it might just be worth it for the ride back to the station in the cop car
Italy has hired a Transformer to police its roadways? What would Optimus Prime think?
Now I want to be an Italian cop
this is the statement that kills me…
Am I the only one amused by this?
that statement btw was from the accompanying article in yahoo news, not the caption.
verbenabeast means this older article.
Erm, ok checking the timestamps on the articles, I guess it’s just a different article, not an older one. I clicked the “related story” link which brought up an older story, went to the bottom of that page, and found the article verbenabeast was referring to. Sorry. :o
I’m happy they’re using clean, efficient Energon instead of fossil fuels. Why can’t we get that kind of thinking around here?
And I trust, with crude oil prices continuing to rise and gas prices in Orlandoish hovering around $2 a gallon, that the V10 engine will be extremely fuel efficient?
Yes?
Quit laughing!!
And I thought the cops in Camaros and Mustangs were lucky. Wow!
Anybody want to take bets on who gets to drive this thing? I’ll bet it only shows up in parades driven by the commander of the Carbinari (or how ever that is spelled). How would you like to be the street cop that puts the first dent in this thing – and if it’s driven on Italian highways it’s going to get a dent in very short order.
They have their work cut out for them:
Well, given that Italian gas is well over $5 a gallon, it’ll have to be.
Either that, or they’ll trade in all the existing cars for Vespas to keep their total fuel bill about the same
Spavined: Carabinieri
Not too far off the mark. Lamborghini is owned by Audi which in turn is owned by VW.
