Please listen, I hope it is enjoyable! Would love any responses and feedback. Is my first time to really fully “produce” an entire song rather than just recording myself playing.
Played on a stick dulcimer (three strings, typically tuned DAD, held like a guitar) and an electronic drum kit. Bass part is the same dulcimer tuned down in software. Also I’m singing. And there’s lots of like distortion and reverb etc.

I like the lyrics, I’ll listen to the audio version later. I was away for a little while but got bored and came back. Unsurprisingly, things are not that different here, some people are gone forever and will be greatly missed, some are gone and may come back, others may not come back. I don’t even know if I’ll stay but good to hear from you again.
I like the music. I think you could even make it a little dirtier with a bit more fuzz and distortion.
I think the vocals could use a little more something to give it interest. The descending notes at a constant cadence don’t do justice to the rest of it.
But that’s just the opinion of some guy on the internet who didn’t create something and put it out there for others. Kudos, it’s an impressive accomplishment.
I enjoyed that a lot. Really liked the dissonance in the chord progressionrubbing up against the regular folky melody.
What TroutMan said about the vocals - I wondered whether if it were in a higher key and you had to push your voice a bit harder if that might give it a bit more oomph. Depending on your software it can be simple to take the entire musical parts and step them up a tone then redo the vocals over that. Sorry if you know all this already.
But yes, I liked it.

I really like it! I think the vocals should be pushed forward a bit although that may mess with the old timey pa-playin’-on-the-porch-in-crackling-black-and-white feeling.
In the opinion of someone who don’t know shit about music, I liked the lyrics a lot while the music didn’t turn me on, except for that part at the end that I think finished it well. That’s all I can offer on that song. Sounds like you are on a great adventure in life with a lot of experiences to come before you reach your destination, however you define that.
