Sometimes when you put soda on ice, the ice gets fuzzy in a whitish color. Any idea what that is? It doesn’t seem to be the coloring from the soda, because the fuzz isn’t brown in cola.
I think the fuzz is… Ice.
I’ve seen this effect with ice cubes that have a lot of air trapped in them. When they are put into liquid, they start to melt, and this exposes their porosity.
