It’s a mess in Minneapolis. One person dead so far. I suspect Trump will use this to send in the military.

There’s video on social media. A gang of armed men are gang tackling somebody, who is resisting. One man, who is standing, starts off swinging at the guy (perhaps with a blunt instrument- I believe he was pistol whipping him) before firing a series of bullets, shooting the resistor dead.
I think the one recording is across the street, inside. You can hear his shock and horror at what was done.
ICE is saying that the man was armed and was trying to shoot ICE agents who shot in self defense. I didn’t want to watch the video closely but it didn’t look like he was trying to shoot anyone. It looked like they were beating up on him and then shot him.
Funny that the only part that wasn’t filmed was the part that might make them look less horrific.
In the video, about 5 ICE agents beat him, shot him, and ran.

One of the many ironies of the last few years: the strongest 2nd Amendment supporters in America are the ones who voted in the absolute textbook definition of the kind of government that they’ve been so worried about: Trump.
I don’t see it amongst his recent truth social posts. He is talking about a federal agent who allegedly had his finger bitten off. Since he has no credibility, I have no idea of the accuracy of the claim, but even if true it seems ridiculously trivial when compared to the brutal slaying of an American in broad daylight.
You want a finger? I can get you a finger, believe me. There are ways. You don’t wanna know about it, believe me.
I wish people would stop being taken in and reposting satire and fakes as if they were real.

Over Trump’s past year, what originally looked like an effort to make the government his personal plaything has drifted distinctly toward doctrinal and operational fascism. Trump’s appetite for lebensraum, his claim of unlimited power, his support for the global far right, his politicization of the justice system, his deployment of performative brutality, his ostentatious violation of rights, his creation of a national paramilitary police—all of those developments bespeak something more purposeful and sinister than run-of-the-mill greed or gangsterism.
