Iceland's cookery challenge

I always moan at the cooking shows on telly.Their ingredients to make meals from are like–nice lamb steak or piece of chicken, some nice vegetables and something like cheese or noodles. And they get all the herbs and spices on hand…I want them to cook something from the contents of my fridge-two jellies, some noodles, mint sauce, canned potatoes, doughnuts, mandarins,a tub of butter, two chocolate biscuits, some oats and three bottles of Babycham.

Those are your ingredients. What can you knock up for me to eat?

Pound the Babycham. Call for Chinese take-out. Eat it while throwing the rest of the crap in your fridge away!

I thought that in Iceland they ate goats’ heads with the skull left in… I saw it in a movie… I forget the title… There was a vodka named something lie “The Kiss of Death.”

I doubt anything in my fridge could be labelled ‘The Kiss of Death’
Well maybe the cheese

Pt 1: Dinner – Open can of potatoes. Drain. Slice potatoes into 1/4" (1/2 cm, I think) discs. Fry in large quantities of butter. Turn occaisionally. Add a little salt (who doesn’t have salt?) Eat when all browned.

PS, WTF is “babycham?”
PPS - what kinds of jelly? Or do you mean jelly as in what we call “Jell-o”-- A gelatin dessert? If Gelatin, what flavors?
PPSS - what kind of doughnuts? Plain, powdered sugar, horrible fake choco-covered? other?

 Well I tried anyways. The potatoes will be good for sure.
In the US we have a radio food/cooking show called “The Splendid Table” and the host takes on these types of challenges quite often. It’s instructive and amusing. (you can probably find some shows archived on the web somewheres)

Wait you have cheese!? Jebus, you have to tell me these things.

Using sharp knife, cut away moldy bits from cheese, till you’re left with a small mold-free cube. Slice cheese thin or grate on grater and sprinkle over potatoes before removing from pan. Cover pan till melted, 1-2 minutes. Serve.
