What about the episode where Lucy overhears Ricky talking about the Overlord plans and thinks he’s invited a British Lord over for dinner without telling her? She decides to pay him back by inviting Heinrich Himmler over that same night without telling him. Ricky meanwhile finds out what Lucy’s done but has to pretend she was right so Himmler isn’t tipped off about the invasion. But the only British “Lord” he can find in wartime Berlin is William Joyce. Hilarity ensues at the dinner table and Fred Mertz is executed over dessert.

Lutzi and Ettel, in an effort to make enough Deutchmarks to fly to Berlin to meet Hitler, take jobs in a schnitzel factory. Hilarity ensues as the conveyor belt carrying the schnitzel past our frauliens speeds up, and they must stuff them down their derndels and into their leiderhosen. “Schnel! Schnel!”
For me, that’s when WWII jumped the shark.
