ID a book about a midget woman and german account of Nazi Germany

One of the wonderful lady’s at the library use to teach (3rd grade, but this isn’t a kids book) and cannot remember a book she read years ago about the war from the german citizen perspective.

She thinks it was written by a woman who was a midget and stones or slipping/slippery were in the title.

Any help would be appreciated.

Stones from the River by Ursula Hegi

That’s it!!

You were faster than the reference librarian here at the library!
Thanks!

Three minutes. blissful sigh I love this place.

I’m slightly amazed.

Even by SDMB standards, that was fast!!

So. Shirley. How long have you been studying the literature of Midget Nazis?

I knew it, too–I remember Oprah’s description of it when she announced it was the next Book Club book.

Y’know, in someways, this place is better than sex sometimes.

Bosda I feel that Midget Lit is underappreciated.

Some might say it’s given short shrift.

I wouldn’t say that – but some might.
