I believe this is Phil Collins and not Genesis. I barely know the lyrics, so hang in there with me. The song is a slow song that, IIRC, begins with something like “Well, there’s never a time to change. Never time in my life to rearrange…so sad, so sad.”
I didn’t promise it’d be easy! If you can give the name, that’d be great. If you know the album where I’d find it, that be terrific!
Yup, it’s gotta be it! That last Genesis album* has Phil Collins written all over it moreso than any album prior. (*Recall, an album is a collection of like articles placed in a certain arrangement.) It’s best Genesis hasn’t done much, if anything, since. Hmm, I wonder what the other band members would say, candidly, about that…
Well, Genesis “broke up” after “We Can’t Dance”, although they did try one more album with a replacement for Phil, Ray Wilson. It didn’t do well at all and other than a couple one-off singles, nothing’s been done since. Multiple sources have said that they’ll eventually reunite for some shows, but nothing has been agreed upon yet.
