I did a buttheaded thing last night. I returned one of my own books that I was reading to the library and failed to return the library book. I called the library when I realized this (this morning) and, despite being a smallish place where they all know me, they cannot find my book at all.
I searched the used book store ( tiny) and am annoyed with myself because it was actually pretty good. Yeah, I know how it will end and all that, but I need closure, dammit.
It is a sci-fi romance. Was was a finalist for a RITA award. It was , I’m pretty sure, a two word title, one of which was “King”.
Cover: bluish gray with a naked male six pack torso. the background could possibly look like stars or something. No woman on the cover or back.
I think the author was named Susan. she is a former USAF pilot who turned to writing.
Yeah - whoa! If the cover of the book is any indication of its contents, I have a pretty good idea of why they “cannot find” your book. It’s because they’re looking for it in the library, instead of on the librarians’ bedside tables.
