How do the rules go for Wheel of Fortune? How much does a vowel cost? Do you have to pay for each “A” on the board? Do you make money off it? How’s it work? I’ve never understood it.
It’s been a while since I’ve caught the game, but I understand that you may buy a vowel only if you have some money in your bank. I also understand that the charge applies whether the vowel appears in the puzzle or not, and that you get all instances of the vowel for the same price.
That said, I cannot recal how much the fee is for a vowel.
It’s been years since I watched it, but I believe it’s $250 for a vowel. If you buy an “A” and there’s five of them, you got a bargain. You only have to pay for the one.
