I'd like to kill my roommate, but I'm afraid just doing it once wouldn't be enough

Maastricht, those are all excellent ideas. But Neutron really needs to consult with his county magistrate’s office before changing the locks or moving Dave’s things. As crappy as it is, the truth is that doing any of those may in fact be illegal and will make a bad situation even worse.

Neutron, is there any way you can go down to the county magistrate’s office in person and talk to them? I would strongly recommend it.

Seems sensible to me. A review of the legalities of the situation in your area would definitely be helpful.

Honestly I couldn’t care less if you drugged your boyfriend and unless you’re typing from behind bars neither should the rest of us.

For my part it was a question of intent. I’ve had food poisoning a few times and believe me, you can shit your pants by blinking too hard. It’s one thing to “run out of mercy,” but making a fellow crap himself is just plain mean.

I’m sorry if this continues the “hijack” here, but I just feel compelled to share just why this was SO dangerous. The prolonged vomiting and diarrhea that accompanies food poisoning can easily cause severe electrolyte imbalances which can bring on stroke, heart attack and other serious complications*. Administering a pharmaceutical sledgehammer in the form of a powerful CNS depressant to the neurological system of a person in this state is, frankly, playing Russian roulette with their life.

My god…

  • This is what people with anorexia and/or bulimia usually actually die of, not starvation.

But potentially quite funny!

oh sweet heavens, put away the Banning Wand. I try not to be the kind of bore that sweats the mods about their job, but I am begging on my knees, please don’t ban another freakin’ poster of interest for at least, oh let’s say…a month!

I don’t care how annoying they are. I am begging for mercy on her behalf.

I thought you did believe in God. ?! Now you are calling him names?

None intended. Not to you. I mean you are clearly afflicted, but not by my post.

Do you think her intent was to make him shit the bed? I doubt it. I think it was an attempt at mercy, hoping he could sleep through the nausea. Not the wisest course of action, since conceivably he could choke on his own vomit, but I think it’s more likely stupidity than malice in this case. And definitely not trolling.

Besides the “in our opinion” part, what exactly did lobstermobster to foster or promote an illegal activity? She confesed to having done something illegal, but hardly fostered or promoted it. Could you please point out the specific offending quote?

(and by the backlash she got, it was probably more of a PSA that helped others know that poisoning your partners is a bit of a social no-no)

I guess this part:

Especially the last line, which is kind of fostering and promoting. I’m not saying anything on either side re fluiddruidor lobstermobster, I’m just pointing out I can kind of see it.

She admitted that the Ambien was hers, not her boyfriend, so gave her prescription to someone else without their knowledge.

neutron, any news? The bank is open, the police should be ready to go, right?

This, probably:

I admit curiosity as well.

But I’m sure that (a) the police will take their sweet time getting to it, and (b) it may be a while afterwards before neutron has a chance to update us.

And when he does come back to the SDMB, I can only hope the unholy hijacking that has occurred in this thread doesn’t scare him off.

This is scary on so many levels…

Ditto, please. Waiting for updates. Hope everything’s going OK.

Hey guys? Any chance you could start a “Logistics and/or legality of poisoning someone” thread.

And maybe start a “Poster A Vs. Poster B” celebrity deathmatch thread? - where people with obvious grudges toward each other can virtually duke it out?

I keep checking back here to see how the saga ends, I keep having to read shit that just doesn’t matter with regard to the OP.

Landlord-Tenant Laws still apply. Here is a link to a cite containing the Landlord-Tenant Law as it applies in Harrisburg, PA, and the eviction procedure, specifically.

From that same site:

If he won’t go through the proper legal steps to evict this guy, my personal recommendation – friend or no friend – would be to give notice and move out. You and your possessions will never be safe there if this guy is allowed to stay or move back in. Good luck!

It was also stated it might take until Tuesday or Wednesday. We don’t know how soon the bank’s loss prevention department will get on top of this issue.

Wow, who over starched your undies? You make it sound like she robbed bank while snortin meth and anal rapping puppies with a chin strap on.

Not that I advocating snorting meth while anal raping puppies with a shin strap on and bank robbing mind you.

Hear, hear.
