Interestingly enough, this was inspired by a line in Dogma, where Rufus tells Jay that he masturbates more than anyone else on the planet.
That made me realize that there MUST be SOMEONE who does that more than ANYONE else in the world. Who that person is, what (s)he is like, and whether (s)he has any idea that (s)he is the one makes me feel kinda oogy inside.
Still, it did inspire this question: if you could meet the most X person in the world, what value of X would most interest you? It can be something someone is, has, or does, and the superlative can be good OR bad (e.g. “the most” or “the least”), as long as it’s a superlative. What sort of things would you want to find out? What questions would you ask, assuming (s)he would answer?
(And no, masturbation would NOT be mine. Not even in the top hundred. :P)
I’d like to meet the man who has the greatest proportion of height to weight (very tall and very thin). My partner is in the running for this distinction, but I’d like to meet whoever is #1.
I have a morbid fascination with serial killers. I would love to meet the one who has killed the most people. He’d have to be in prison and under heavy guard.
Not to get too political, but that would probably be the pilot who dropped Big Boy on Hiroshima. Of course, you would be hard pressed to call him a serial killer, but I doubt that there’s a person in history who killed more people, especially at once with a single action.
If you include indirect deaths under the orders of the serial killer, he’s probably a highly esteemed senior politician – perhaps even a former president – and not in prison, though probably under heavy guard against possible assassins.
And the most frequent masturbator is probably mentally ill, so not an interesting person to met at all.
I’d like to meet the woman that has had the most sex partners. Not because I want to increase her number by one, I’m just curious what her mindset is.
Is she a prostitute? A dirtbag? A respectable suburban homemaker? Someone famous? A 90-year old lady? Does she enjoy it or is she a nymphomaniac with a pathological need for it but derives no real pleasure from it? What’s the actual number? When did she start? Is she the proverbial “last person you’d expect”, or if you met her would you think “yeah, I can see that”? Is she attractive? Is she married? Does she have kids?
I collect experiences with roadside kitsch. In my travels I’ve seen one of the two “World’s Largest Ball (s) of Twine.”
Since then I’ve been wondering what would possess someone to spend his adult life winding twine into a ball. Convenience combined with OCD? Out on the farm you’d have room to store a large ball of twine and, in the day, have plenty of baling twine on hand. Unpleasant wife? A secret compulsion which, in order to avoid, he needed to have his hands occupied at all times? Lonely and no social skills? Not too smart and hoping to do something which would win him world recognition? Just bored?
The possibilities are endless and, dammit, I wanna know why.
I’d like to meet whoever lives in the world’s largest private residence, just to see if it’s as ridiculous as I imagine it to be.

I tried to find out the answer to this but didn’t get very far, most of the largest houses also have government usage or belong to a Royal Family/company which I wouldn’t class as being privately owned myself. The biggest is perhaps Blenheim Palace which seems to be privately owned and passed down through generations of the family. It is also open to the public for tours so may yet get your wish!
I would like to meet the person with the largest record collection in the world, only to lock me in to his/her house listening to music and discussing it with this person for the rest of my life (not really, but you get the picture).

I suppose he was the person who “pulled the trigger”, and Hiroshima’s casualties were in the hundreds of thousands. But in terms of responsibility for the most deaths, I believe that would be Josef Stalin. He would be interesting to meet.
