Id much rather lend money to a Jew than a Gypsy

“People called Romanes, they go the house,” if my copy of Life of Brian is to be believed.

Exactly. It is true that stereotypes are not entirely wrong, in the sense that different cultural groups will act on average in different ways. But nobody is the average person. So it does not substitute to actual knowledge.

I do not lend money to average members of cultural groups I do not know anything about. I suggest the OP do the same.

Refusing a hypothetical loan is a far cry from using my views to justify the extermination or enslavement of a group of people. As twisted as you think my views may be, I can tell you this - I use them to protect myself, not to harm others.

I’d be perfectly happy to help you out in your experiment. Just lend me a few hundred C-notes, and I’ll be on my way.

This is an incredible coincidence, but, I met her myself!
Too bad that the conductor kicked her off BEFORE I discovered my wallet was missing!
Best wishes,

I don’t lend money to anyone, regardless of race or ethnicity.

I don’t start businesses with people I don’t know.

I’m about 1/4th or 1/8th Roma (depending on whose immigration stories you believe), and think that the assumptions made in this thread are hilarious. “We” aren’t some sort of monolithic group the same the world over.

Gosh you’re hilarious.
