"I'd Rather Eat Pants" on NPR's Morning Edition

Nice of them to allow how it sucked, though.

I laughed at how many people roasted it, but gave it the backhanded compliment of being the only thing to get them out of bed and on the way to work.

That’s exactly what it did for me!

Now if NPR made a ten minute comedy slot featuring Cervaise in the shower, their market share would rocket!

If it’s true that radio is dead, then I’d Rather Eat Pants just drove the stake through it’s heart…

I heard all five parts while driving to work. I also drive bamboo shoots into my fingernails for fun.

It got worse and worse. it seemed like the producers couldn’t say no to anyone who wanted to be in it, so they added more and more characters, and left out the jokes. If they wanted to hear radio humor, all they had to do was buy a tape of an old Jack Benny show.

Trent Lott was a lot funnier.

What amazed me was that they found anyone who liked it.

Now THAT’S funny.

This represents the second time since I signed on that a thread was so universal in its condemnation. Wish I could remember the first, but I do remember making the exact same comment. Hell, even “Freddy Got Fingered” found ONE fan (only one I believe, but still . . . )

I did like Ed Asner’s performance, especially against the surfer dude’s, but I thought the rest were pretty forgettable.

Though I did get a kick out of the name “Jimmy Jimmy”.

I guess I did like it at that.
