ID this 50-year-old children's book?

There’s an ABC book I want to track down from my childhood. Here’s what I remember:

An insect–a fly or an ant, not much larger than life sized–is leaving dotted-line trails across the page as it wanders from one piece of food to another. The pages have a LOT of white space. It isn’t The Very Hungry Caterpillar, but may have influenced it. The artist had a very exotic Italian name. Does this ring any bells for anyone?

Bruno Munari’s ABC has a fly that goes wandering through the book leaving a squiggly trail, and was originally published in 1960.

That’s the one, thanks!
